The 420-hp 3.0-liter hurricane engine generates 469 lb-ft of torque. It has an 11,550-pound towing capacity and a 1,980-pound payload capacity.
The third engine is a high-output 3.0-liter hurricane that generates an impressive 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque. This high-output engine delivers more available horsepower than competitors like the Chevy Silverado 1500, the Ford Raptor, the Toyota Tundra, the GMC Sierra 1500, and the Nissan Titan. With this engine, the RAM 1500 towing capacity is 9,920 pounds and the payload capacity is 1,520 pounds.
Some RAM 1500 trim levels have standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) or available four-wheel drive (4WD), and some higher trims come with standard 4WD.
